　　胡明哲“微尘”作品展在中国美术馆开幕是一件值得庆贺的事情。我因公务外出，无法前往，特奉贺词，以资贺忱，并表达诚挚敬意。

　　胡明哲从事岩彩绘画的研究成果，是我多年来一直关注的。之所以关注，是因为我深切地体会到：中国绘画在保持其传统特色与优势的同时，在当下和未来的发展中，迫切需要色彩和材料的变革来推动其多样化进程。为了这个目标，胡明哲和她的一批志同道合者经过了前后20年锲而不舍的努力，使视水墨浓淡为上的中国画传统形态，有可能并且已经走进一片五色绚烂的天地，探索并且有效形成了本土绘画当代转型诸多变革转向中富有活力的一支，从而拓展了另一块广阔的空间，成为现代形态的中国绘画的重要组成部分。我为之感到欣慰。

　　“微尘”，不仅是胡明哲一件作品、一个系列作品的标题以及她从艺道路的回顾，从某种意义上看，它何尝不是代表了人类社会在现代文明、文化历史发展过程中每一个微小却极富意义的创新成果，为了这个哪怕是“微尘”般的果实，她和她的同道们付出了值得令人尊敬的智慧与劳动。

　　The opening of Hu Mingzhe¡¯s exhibition ¡°Mote¡± at National Art Museum of China is a cheerful celebration to us. I cannot be there due to an official business trip, so I write this greetings to express my congratulation and sincere respect.

　　For many years, I have been constantly noticing Hu Mingzhe¡¯s research results on color-rock paintings. Because I deeply feel while keep its traditional characteristics in current and future development, Chinese painting urgently needs a revolution of color and materials to activate its diversity. In order to realize this goal, for 20 years, Hu Mingzhe and her colleagues made the traditional Chinese painting, which respects the shades of ink, to become a colorful and gorgeous world. They explore and effectively form an energetic branch in contemporary transformation of native painting, so that extends another piece of the vast space and become an important part of Chinese painting with modern types. I am pleased about this.

　　¡°Mote¡±, is not only one piece of work of Hu Mingzhe, but the title of a series of works and the review of her way of engaging in art. In a certain sense, not that it represents every small but very significant innovation of human society in the process of modern civilization and cultural historical development. For this ¡°mote¡±-like the fruit, she and her fellows pay respectable wisdom and labor.
